Spider-Man: No Return - Three generations of Spider-Man fight the villain together

Six weeks after its global release, Spider-Man: No Homecoming grossed $1.691 billion, surpassing The Lion King and Jurassic World to become the sixth-highest grossing film in the history of the global box office. The visual effects team of Spider-Man: No Homecoming released a behind-the-scenes analysis, including stills of the three Spider-Mans in the same frame, as well as scenes of the villains fighting the three Spider-Mans, allowing netizens to feel the heroic figures of the three Spider-Mans.

"I've worked on some Spider-Man movies, and I'm excited to be involved in the new Spider-Man movie. The Spider-Man fan base is very enthusiastic, spanning different age and gender groups," said Chris Waegner, visual effects supervisor. "Some children are seeing this Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland for the first time. Some older fans have seen the Tobey Maguire version of Spider-Man, or the Andrew Garfield version of Spider-Man. The Spider-Man series is very important to us, and the director and actors are full of enthusiasm."

“Obviously, we had to start from scratch to build the new Spider-Man. As the actors have aged, their physical appearance has changed,” said Waegner. “We studied footage of each actor and reviewed their Spider-Man movie styles. Layering their iconic performance traits gave each Spider-Man his own unique look.”
