Today (December 14), according to the data released by Maoyan Professional Edition, as of 11:00 on December 14, the pre-sale and preview box office of the Lunar New Year animation "The Lion Boy" reached 17.519 million, with 456,000 viewers and 121,000 screenings, setting a new record for domestic animations during the Lunar New Year and becoming the box office champion, audience champion and screening champion of domestic animations during the Lunar New Year in Chinese film history.

"Young Lion" is a realistic comedy animation film directed by Sun Haipeng and written by Li Zelin. The film tells the story of the growth of left-behind teenager Ajuan and her friends Amao and Agou who participated in the lion dance competition under the training of retired lion king Xianyuqiang. After many hardships, they transformed from sick cats into lions. The film was released in China on December 17, 2021.
