The new movie in the Predator series, Prey, will be released on Hulu in the summer of 2022 and will be directed by Dan Trachtenberg. According to the introduction on Disney+ Day, Prey will be set 300 years ago and the heroine Naru will be played by Indian actor Amber Mindy Sand. The plot summary of "Prey" shows: "The film is set in the Comanche Indian tribe 300 years ago. The battle-hardened warrior Naru fights against the highly evolved alien Iron Warrior to defend his tribe." Naru needs to "prove her worth as a warrior" in the film, and "gets the chance to do so when facing off against the alien world's most dangerous Predator." Prey has been in the works for several years. The Predator franchise began in 1987 with Arnold Schwarzenegger and went on to feature five films, as well as tie-ins with the Alien franchise. It is not yet known whether "Prey" will be released in theaters. |
