Surpassing "Godzilla vs. Kong"! "Dune" sets Warner's annual record

The film opened in North America last weekend and earned $40.1 million at the box office, surpassing the previous $31.63 million of "Godzilla vs. Kong", setting a record for Warner Bros.' highest opening of the year. At the same time, the film surpassed "Blade Runner 2049" with an opening performance of $32.75 million, breaking the personal record of director Denis Villeneuve.

The film was released in mainland China on October 22 and opened with $21.7 million. Currently, the film has grossed $220 million worldwide and 143 million RMB in mainland China.
