"Shazam! 2" wrapped, starring Liu Luling returns to play the villain

Shazam! 2: Wrath of the Titans is finished! Many actors from the first film are back, including Zachary Levi as Shazam. Veteran actress Helen Mirren joins the cast to play the villain Hespera, a character from ancient Greek mythology and the daughter of the Titan Atlas. This character does not seem to have a direct connection to DC Comics, and may be a more original interpretation. Lucy Liu plays her sister, the villain Calypso. The sequel is scheduled to be released in North America on June 2, 2023.

"Shazam!" tells the story of a teenager named Billy who gets struck by lightning every time he shouts "Shazam!", which gives him the powers of six gods and turns him into the adult superhero Shazam. Henry Gayden, the screenwriter of the first film, returns, as does director David F. Sandberg and producer Peter Safran.
