Star-Lord's "The Tomorrow War" is scheduled to be released in mainland China on September 3

The sci-fi action film "The Tomorrow War" starring "Star-Lord" Chris Pratt has been scheduled for release in mainland China. The film will hit the domestic big screen on September 3. According to the release poster, "The Tomorrow War" will be released in 2D format. The film was launched on North American streaming media on July 2.

Directed by Chris McKay, the director of The Lego Movie, the film tells the story of a time traveler from 2051 who travels to the present and tells people that 30 years from now, humans will fight alien creatures and lose, so they need to recruit soldiers from now on to fight in the future. In 2022, Earth receives a call from the future, and middle school teacher Dan Foster is called up to join the army and travel to the future where resources are scarce to fight against the doomsday monster White Spike.

According to earlier reports, a sequel to "The Tomorrow War" is expected to be filmed, and producers Skydance, Amazon, and Paramount are in the early stages of operation, and the original crew on and off the stage is expected to return.
