Tencent's "Douluo Dalu" animation statement: Condemning editing by Bilibili, Douyin, and Kuaishou

At 10 a.m. on May 29, after the 158th episode of the "Douluo Dalu" animation was exclusively released on Tencent Video, Tencent Video discovered that a large number of unauthorized full versions of the animation, cut clips, and compilations appeared on platforms such as Bilibili, Douyin, and Kuaishou, with more than 600 infringing links.

Tencent Video stated that the above-mentioned behavior seriously damaged the legitimate rights and interests of the "Douluo Dalu" animation creators and copyright holders.

Tencent Video solemnly declares that it severely condemns any infringement of intellectual property rights, blatant piracy, and disruption of the order of the online video industry, and will pursue legal liability for infringement!

This can be seen as the latest incident of long video sites boycotting the "X minutes to watch a movie" policy of short video sites.

Last month, more than 50 film and television companies, five major long-video platforms and film and television industry associations issued a joint statement, calling on the majority of short video platforms and public account producers and operators to respect originality, protect copyright, and not to edit, cut, move, disseminate and other infringing works without authorization.

The parties that issued the joint statement include associations such as the China Television Art Exchange Association, video platforms such as iQiyi, Tencent Video, Youku, and Mango TV, and film and television companies such as Noon Sunshine, Huace Film and Television, Ciwen Media, and New Classics Media.

The co-branded parties almost include the core forces of the film and television industry, and the short video platforms and public accounts mentioned in the statement are obviously aimed at Douyin, Kuaishou and Bilibili.
