"Avatar 3: Fire and Ash" is named: released on December 19, 2025

At the D23 conference, the name of the movie "Avatar 3" was officially announced - "Avatar: Fire and Ash".

The film will be released in North America on December 19, 2025. According to previous experience, it will also be released in the mainland market at the same time.

James Cameron revealed at the conference that the film has high emotional stakes (the characters' emotions may be greatly affected in the story) and unexpected twists.

It is reported that "Avatar 3" had actually completed motion capture and real-life shooting before the second part was released, and is now undergoing post-production as planned, which can ensure its release as scheduled.

"Avatar 3" will explore the different cultures of Pandora and the Na'vi, and will involve the Fire Tribe "Ash People", and from a different perspective.

Cameron has previously revealed that the big progress of "Avatar 3" will be the depth of the characters, there will be new cultures, new creatures, but more importantly, it will "go into the hearts and souls of the characters, and there will be very interesting new characters joining.

He once mentioned: "So far I have only shown the good side of the Na'vi. The first two movies were negative human examples and very positive Na'vi examples. In Avatar 3, we will do the opposite."

It is worth mentioning that Cameron also said that he has conceived "Avatar 7", but he said that he may not be able to finish filming it in this lifetime, and it should be passed on to other directors to continue production.
