Paramount's new Star Trek movie with Quentin Tarantino canceled

Paramount is developing a new Star Trek movie.

Foreign media Deadline exclusively reported: Kalinda Vazquez (Star Trek: Discovery, Fear the Walking Dead) will write an original script for a new Star Trek produced by J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot.

Previously, there were two projects in development for a new "Star Trek" movie: one by Quentin Tarantino and one by "Fargo" creator Noah Hawley, both of which have now been shelved.
