Netflix to launch Terminator animation to explore classic story in new way

According to a report from foreign media Variety, Netflix has booked an animated series of "Terminator".

The Terminator animation project is still in its early stages, and plot details are not yet known. Netflix and Skydance have collaborated on the animation, which was produced by Skydance for the last two Terminator movies. It is reported that Production IG will be responsible for the production of the Terminator animation. Netflix has signed a production agreement with Production IG since 2018. Production IG's previous works include Ghost in the Shell, B: The Beginning, and Eden of the East.

John Derderian, Vice President of Japanese Anime at Netflix, said: “Terminator is one of the most iconic science fiction stories of all time, one that becomes more and more relevant to the real world over time. The new anime will explore this universe in a way that has never been seen before. We can’t wait for fans to experience the next chapter in this epic war between man and machine.”
