"Deadpool 3" has decided to hire a pair of sisters to write the screenplay, which marks an important first step for the series since joining the Disney family. According to Deadline, series star Ryan Reynolds invited sisters Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux to be the screenwriters. They were the screenwriters of the animated series "Bob's Burgers". According to the report, although 20th Century Fox was acquired by Disney and the Deadpool series also came to Disney, Reynolds and the company still positioned Deadpool 3 as R-rated. David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2, had a full schedule and was not involved in the screenwriter selection, so Deadpool 3 was directed by someone else. Fans have speculated that Deadpool's move to Disney could mean big changes for the franchise, but Reynolds remained optimistic about any upcoming changes when speaking to Total Film earlier this year. "I'm a huge fan of Marvel and the way they make movies, so when Disney bought Fox, I looked at it as a good thing," Reynolds said. "I think it's a win for everyone involved. We're going to see it soon enough." |
