Sylvester Stallone to star in 'Suicide Squad'

According to foreign media Variety, veteran action star Sylvester Stallone revealed that he has participated in DC's new "Suicide Squad" movie "Suicide Squad: Assembled" and is on his way to meet director James Gunn. Director Gunn also posted a photo of the two of them to confirm that Stallone did indeed participate in "Suicide Squad: Assembled".

James Gunn, director of "Suicide Squad: Assemble," said in his Instagram post: "I've always loved working with Sylvester Stallone, he's a good friend of mine. Our work today is no exception. Although everyone knows that Sylvester Stallone is an iconic movie star, most people still don't know what an amazing actor this guy is."

The role played by Stallone is still kept secret. He has previously worked with Gunn in the Marvel movie "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", where he played the leader of the Predator Corps, Staka Oged, and is expected to return to star in the third installment of "Guardians of the Galaxy".

"The Suicide Squad" is an action film directed by James Gunn and starring Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Idris Elba, Viola Davis and David Dastmalchian. It will be released in the United States on August 6, 2021.
