The animated film "Jiang Ziya" was released on National Day, and in just 4 days, it became the fastest animated film to break 1 billion! It is currently on its 13th day of release, with a total box office of 1.465 billion. On the evening of the 12th, Beijing Enlight Media Co., Ltd. issued an announcement stating that as of October 11, 2020, the company's operating income from the movie "Jiang Ziya" ranged from approximately RMB 360 million to RMB 400 million.

This figure exceeds 50% of the company's operating income in the audited consolidated financial statements for the most recent fiscal year.

According to the 2020 semi-annual report of Light Media, its revenue in the first half of the year was 259 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 77.86%, and its net profit was 29.572 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 80.46%. The non-net profit was a loss of 131.876 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 119.22%.

As of October 11, Light Media has earned 360 million to 400 million yuan just from the movie "Jiang Ziya". The revenue from a single movie is nearly 150 million yuan more than the total revenue of 259 million yuan in the first half of the year.

However, at the same time, the stock price of Light Media has been like heaven and hell. The closing price before the National Day holiday was 16.66 yuan, and today's lowest price was only 13.3 yuan, a drop of 20%.

Some analysts believe that the reputation of the once popular "Jiang Ziya" has continued to decline (Douban's score has dropped from 7.5 to the current 7.0), and the box office has also fallen from the lead in the two days before National Day to "My Hometown and Me" and ranked second. As the main investor and controller, the share price of Light Media has been affected and plummeted.
