Today, February 18, the famous Japanese animation director Masaaki Yuasa announced the establishment of a new company, Ame Pippin. Sony Animation branch and Makoto Shinkai's production company are also involved in the planning. New works are being planned, so stay tuned.

Masaaki Yuasa was born on March 16, 1965 in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. He is a Japanese animation director, screenwriter, and producer. In 1990, he served as the art designer for the animation "Chibi Maruko-chan". In 1992, he served as the animation supervisor, setting, and original painting in the animation "Crayon Shin-chan". In 2015, he won the Tokyo Animation Award for Best TV Animation.

In 2017, the animated film "The Song of Dew Heralding the Dawn" directed by him won the Crystal Award for Best Animated Feature Film at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France; in 2018, he directed the animated film "Devilman Crybaby". On June 21, 2019, the animated film "Ride the Waves with You" directed by him was released in Japan.
