Eric Kripke tweeted that the premiere week of Season 4 is a good time to announce the news that Season 5 will be the last season of The Boys. In addition, Eric Kripke emphasized: "This has always been my plan, I just had to proceed cautiously until I got final approval from Vought."

Although Eric Kripke has confirmed that The Boys will end in Season 5, there is no more specific information about Season 5. In addition, this does not mean the end of the entire series of The Boys, because the second season of its spin-off series V Generation is in production.
