"A Chinese Ghost Story: Love in the World" full cast preview, premiere on Tencent on May 1

Adapted from the 1987 Leslie Cheung version of "A Chinese Ghost Story", directed by Lin Zhenzhao and starring Chen Xingxu, Li Kaixin, Yuen Wah and others, the ancient costume fantasy online movie "A Chinese Ghost Story: Love in the World" released a full cast trailer today (April 22).

Plot summary: The scholar Ning Caichen (played by Chen Xingxu) goes to Beijing to take the imperial examination and stays overnight in Lanruo Temple. He meets Nie Xiaoqian (played by Li Kaixin), who specializes in seducing men to absorb their essence on behalf of her grandmother (played by Xu Shaoqiang). After some hardships, the two gradually fall in love and finally become lovers. However, her grandmother wants to marry Nie Xiaoqian to the Black Mountain Old Demon. In desperation, Ning Caichen asks Yan Chixia (played by Yuen Wah) for help.

"A Chinese Ghost Story: Love in the World" will be launched on Tencent Video on May 1, and will be exclusively broadcast on the entire network.
