Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie may develop a large number of sequels

The Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie was a huge success, topping the US box office charts for several weeks in a row, becoming one of the most successful video game adaptations of all time. In the future, we may see more Sonic the Hedgehog movies released.

James Marsden was asked in an interview with Variety whether he has signed on to star in or star in more Sonic the Hedgehog movies. Marsden said he can't discuss the details of his contract publicly yet, but can speak in general terms. He said: "I don't know if I can say, but I think they want to develop as many movies as possible."

The Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie has not been officially announced yet, but it is almost certain to be inevitable. The film's director Jeff Fowler has talked about his plans for the sequel, including adding more of Sonic's friends in the game, such as Knuckles.
