Tormund Giantsbane Actor to Star in The Witcher Season 2

According to IGN, Norwegian actor Kristofer Hivju, who is famous for playing Tormund Giantsbane in "Game of Thrones", will play Nivren the Accursed in the second season of Netflix's "The Witcher" series.

According to the Witcher Wiki, Nivellen is a cursed man who lives in a secluded manor in a forest near Morreville in Redania. He is called "Fanger" or "Degen" by the people nearby, and stories about his monstrous appearance are used to scare children. Nivellen is the protagonist of "True Blood", and this short story is included in the novel collection "White Wolf Rises". After a long conversation, Geralt concluded that Nivellen could not be a monster because he could touch the witcher badge without any adverse reactions.

According to the information disclosure website Redanian Intelligence, they have obtained an audition sheet that describes Nivellen as "a charming, witty and funny man" who comes from a "noble family cursed by past crimes." This information is basically consistent with what the original author Andrzej Sapkowski wrote in "True Blood." In this novel, Geralt accidentally discovered a dilapidated manor where an ugly, cursed, beast-like noble named Nivellen lived.
