Sega's classic game adaptation live-action animated film "Sonic the Hedgehog" confirmed to be introduced to China

Paramount Pictures announced today (January 15) that the movie "Sonic the Hedgehog" has been confirmed to be released in China. The official also released a Chinese promotional poster, but the domestic release date of the film is currently to be determined.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a live-action animated film directed by Jeff Fowler, written by Patrick Casey, Josh Miller and Oren Uzel, and produced by Paramount Animation, Marza Animation Planet Studios, Original Film, SEGA, Blur Studio and Hedgehog Films. The film is adapted from the Sonic series of video games produced by SEGA, starring Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Adam Pally, Neil MacDonald and Jim Carrey.

The film tells the story of Sonic the Hedgehog, who has the ability to run at the speed of sound, and begins a new life on Earth. Sonic and his new friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to protect the Earth and stop the evil Dr. Eggman (Jim Carrey) from taking over the world. This family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

"Sonic the Hedgehog" is scheduled to be released in the United States on February 14, 2020 by Paramount Pictures.
