The Flash movie is still based on the comics, and the director of IT takes over

The preparations for the DC superhero blockbuster "The Flash" have been full of twists and turns, with directors being changed and scripts rewritten several times. It is finally about to enter the production phase this year.

The director Andy Muschietti (IT), who took over as the director of the film, recently accepted an interview with foreign media and revealed that the current script of the film will still be drawn from the "Flashpoint" in the comics.

According to the "Flashpoint" story setting of the original comic book, the Flash Barry Allen found that he had accidentally changed history, causing the DC world to fall into unprecedented chaos. The Justice League no longer exists; Aquaman and Wonder Woman actually started a war; the Wayne family was robbed that night and it was the young master Wayne who died. His mother Martha Wayne was stimulated to become the Joker, and his father Thomas Wayne became Batman...

Considering that the actors who play Batman and the Joker in the DC universe have been replaced, DC may use "The Flash" movie to restart the entire screen universe.

The film has been scheduled to be released in North America on July 1, 2022. Ezra Miller, who played the Flash in "Justice League", will return to play the leading role. It is expected to start shooting after Miller completes filming "Fantastic Beasts 3".
