Attack on Titan manga and e-book sales exceed 100 million copies worldwide

According to news revealed by Japanese media today (December 25), the comics and e-books of the boys' manga "Attack on Titan" created by Japanese cartoonist Hajime Isayama have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.

The manga "Attack on Titan" began serialization in the October 2009 issue of Kodansha's "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine", and it has been more than 10 years since then. The story is based on the conflict between humans and Titans. Humans live in cities surrounded by high walls to fight against man-eating Titans.

The animation production company of "Attack on Titan" is WIT STUDIO ("Attack on Titan" is also the first comic adaptation animation produced by the company after its independence from Production IG). The first season began broadcasting on April 6, 2013, the second season began broadcasting on April 1, 2017, the third season Part.1 began broadcasting on July 22, 2018, and the third season Part.2 was broadcast on April 28, 2019. The final season of the animation is scheduled to begin broadcasting in the fall of 2020.

In addition to the animation, the work has also been adapted into several games, among which "Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle" was released in July 2019 (PC, Switch, PS4).
