The TV animation "Woodpecker Detective Office", adapted from Kei Ii's famous mystery novel, will be broadcast in spring 2020. The official recently released the latest trailer. Let's take a sneak peek.

"The Woodpecker Detective" won the 3rd Sogen Mystery Short Story Award. It tells the adventurous story of a genius poet Ishikawa Takuboku who started his detective career because of a murder case in the Meiji era and his assistant, fellow countryman Kindaichi Kyosuke, who worked together to solve strange cases.

The two leading actors of "Woodpecker Detective Agency" are Ishikawa Takuboku played by Shintaro Asanuma and Kyousuke Kindaichi played by Takahiro Sakurai. It is scheduled to be broadcast in spring 2020, so stay tuned.
