Fast & Furious 11 to be released in 2026, filming to begin early next year

According to foreign media Collider, the last film in the "Fast and Furious" series, "Fast and Furious 11", will be released in 2026, which happens to be the 25th anniversary of the release of the first "Fast and Furious".

"Fast & Furious 10" was directed by Louis Leterrier, who grossed over $700 million worldwide. He recently revealed that he will be shooting a small horror film this summer, which is scheduled to be completed on September 15. He will then return to "Fast & Furious 11" on September 16.

Previously, "Fast & Furious 9" actor Tyrese Gibson hinted that "Fast & Furious 11" is scheduled to start filming in early 2025. Director Leterrier confirmed this schedule, saying, "Tyrese is always right. Look at his Instagram!" It seems that the "Fast & Furious" crew is preparing to go all out again, and the Toretto family is preparing to say goodbye.

Leterrier said that filming of Fast & Furious 11 is indeed expected to begin in early 2025. He also revealed the planned release date of the film, saying: "The film will start shooting early next year and will be released in 2026, which is the 25th anniversary of the release of the first film."

The same day in 2026 will be a Thursday, so it's a likely date for a film premiere, especially in a series celebrating its quarter-century of history. Of course, this is all tentative, as Universal Pictures has yet to confirm a release date for the film, but at the moment, a June 2026 release date seems likely at the very least.
