The Shining sequel "Doctor Sleep" media analysis banned IGN 8.5 M site only 59 points

The sequel to "The Shining", "Doctor Sleep", will be released in North America on November 8. The media ratings of the film were released today (October 31). IGN gave it a score of 8.5, but the final review website M-site only scored 59 points. IGN said that "Doctor Sleep" is great, saying that it is very scary and far more than a sequel to "The Shining" but also a very powerful original film.

IGN: There's a sense of dread as you focus on what's new in Doctor Sleep, and the film's look and feel are impressive and soulful. While the homage to Kubrick's The Shining can make the film a bit clunky and tonally confusing, the majority of the film successfully uses the pain of the Torrance family to tell a story of coming to terms with the past. Regardless of which version of The Shining you prefer, fans of both films will find Doctor Sleep enjoyable to watch forever.
