Star Wars' Rey plays Ophelia in Hamlet

After finishing the filming of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", Daisy Ridley, who played the heroine "Rey", joined the new costume film "Ophelia". In this film, she changed the image of a tough female Jedi in "Star Wars" and turned into a queen's confidant maid and also the mysterious lover of Prince Hamlet. A palace fight is about to begin.

Official trailer for Ophelia:

This film is adapted from Lisa Crane's novel of the same name "Ophelia". It describes the relationship between Ophelia, Hamlet and the Queen from Ophelia's perspective in "Hamlet", thus revealing Ophelia's tragic love fate.

Ophelia will be directed by new female director Claire McCarthy, with British actor Clive Owen playing Claudius, who usurps the throne and marries his sister-in-law, Naomi Watts playing the queen, and George MacKay playing Hamlet. The film is set in the 14th century, just like the novel, but the characters speak modern language. Currently, the film has received 59% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and 65% positive reviews on M.com.
