"Detective Pikachu" Pikachu's domestic dubbing announced: Lei Jiayin

The movie "Detective Pikachu" will be released in China on May 10. Today, the film company announced the Chinese voice actor for Pikachu: Lei Jiayin.

In the dubbing special, actor Lei Jiayin said that the role of Pikachu was the fastest thing he agreed to in recent years without even thinking about it, and it was a perfect match right away.

Lei Jiayin also humorously stated that the reason why the film crew chose him to voice Pikachu was probably because the upgraded version of Pikachu is called Raichu, which is somewhat consistent with himself.

When talking about the experience of dubbing for Pikachu, Lei Jiayin said that dubbing was very tiring. Lei Jiayin said: "The foreign actor who dubbed Pikachu was Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), so his dubbing was very stylized, which was a big challenge for me. Anyway, I was able to dub it, and everyone said that our dubbing was quite distinctive."

"I am particularly interested in this movie this time because it has abandoned our traditional two-dimensional anime image. In fact, it is the first time that Pikachu has been turned into a three-dimensional animated film with humans."

When asked what he would do first if he were to transform into Detective Pikachu, Lei Jiayin said: "Shock, shock, shock the bad guy. Shock that thing, Guo Jingfei or something."
