Captain Marvel's new stills reveal he can lift Thor's hammer

The new stills of "Captain Marvel" show the scene before "Captain Marvel" Brie Larson beats up an old lady (disguised as a Skrull) in the carriage - waiting for the subway.

Last week, the creators of Captain Marvel went to Brazil to attend the largest comic convention in the Western Hemisphere. A fan asked Brie Larson, "Can Captain Marvel lift Thor's hammer Mjolnir?" Larson answered without hesitation, "Absolutely."

In the Marvel Universe, only a few people who are deemed qualified can lift Thor's hammer. In the superhero party scene in Avengers 2, the Avengers were helpless around Thor's hammer, and only Captain America could make the hammer shake slightly. Captain Marvel's fighting ability is indeed extraordinary.
