Since the launch of "Iron Man" in 2008, Marvel's MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) has entered its fifth phase and has launched a large number of film series and spin-off TV series. Recently, Marvel insider Daniel Richtman reported that Disney and Marvel Studios have decided to cancel several planned MCU movies, including "Eternals 2", "Captain Marvel 3" and "Ant-Man 4". Although this is consistent with Disney's current plan, which is considering reducing the production of MCU movies and TV series, foreign media "escapist" still believes that the report is more likely to be a rumor. The escapist also mentioned that although "Eternals" had been the lowest-grossing film in the series before the release of "Captain Marvel 2", Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige hoped that the sequel could be produced, but Disney CEO Bob Iger was not optimistic about this. It is also worth noting that Daniel Richtman's report mentioned that the "Shang-Chi 2" movie is still in production and will include a version of the heroic character Iron Fist. |
