Feng Xiaogang denies rumor of being fined 2 billion: It's too little, at least 10 billion

Recently, a netizen posted a message saying that director Feng Xiaogang was fined 2 billion yuan, and said that the official news will be announced soon. In response, some media verified with Feng Xiaogang's publicity director, and the staff member replied that the news was fake news. Feng Xiaogang himself then responded, "2 billion is too little, the fine should be at least 10 billion. You say these big guys really dare to commit crimes against the wind, and they dare to make up nonsense when we are dealing with them."

On September 9 this year, director Feng Xiaogang posted a microblog to refute the rumors, saying: "I don't have any so-called yin-yang contracts, let alone tax evasion. This is well documented." Feng Xiaogang also wrote in this microblog, "There are public accounts and platforms that deliberately spread rumors about me, fabricated stories, reversed right and wrong, confused right and wrong, and maliciously slandered me. You are not only crazy, you have reached the point of completely disregarding the law to protect citizens' right to reputation."

On July 11, 2018, the film Cell Phone 2, directed by Feng Xiaogang and starring Fan Bingbing, Ge You and others, was officially completed. Feng Xiaogang responded to Cui Yongyuan's accusations one by one and "thanked" him for his help in promoting the film. Three months later, the State Taxation Administration investigated and dealt with the tax evasion of the film's star Fan Bingbing in accordance with the law, recovering 255 million yuan in taxes and a fine of 600 million yuan. Fan Bingbing apologized on Weibo.
