Game of Thrones actor Jaime says goodbye to the series in tears

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the actor who plays Jaime Lannister on Game of Thrones, expressed his emotional farewell to the series.

Coster-Waldau, the actor who plays Jaime in Game of Thrones, said that in the final season, there were many tearful farewells and farewell dinners, and the ending really had too many complicated emotions.

“When my part was over, I really didn’t think it had any effect on me,” Coster-Waldau said. “But I have to admit that you were right when you said, ‘This is the end of the Nikolaja series, ’ and there was probably some moisture in the air, in the corner of my eye. (Laughs) That’s it, yeah.”

Coster-Waldau said it was the first time the cast had been together since all scenes for Season 8 were shot.

"It's been so much fun being around everyone and just so grateful for the time we've had together and how lucky we are to be a part of this show," he said. "Yes, the show has been a huge success, but it was also great to meet all the cast from season one to the final season in Belfast. It was very special."

The final season of Game of Thrones is expected to air in the first half of 2019, but the exact release date has yet to be announced.
