Batista 'The Destroyer' wants to return to superhero movies as a villain

Although Dave Bautista no longer plays Drax the Destroyer, this does not mean that he has completely bid farewell to superhero movies. After the transformation of the most successful superstar in the wrestling world into a drama actor, he is still open to starring in more superhero movies and even expressed his willingness to return to Marvel boss Kevin Feige. He just hopes to try some different roles next time, such as villains.

Bautista revealed his desire to return to superhero movies in an interview with Gizmodo during the Dune 2 promotional tour.

"When I announced my exit, it really just ended my journey as Drax," Batista said. "I'm still in touch with Marvel. I met with Kevin Feige again, and Lou Esposito, just two weeks ago. They know I'm open to new roles. I love the superhero universe, I'm a superhero fan. So whether it's Marvel or DC, if they call me, I'll answer it. If the role is right, I'll definitely do my best."

Bautista clarified, "I just want the opportunity to play a bigger, different role. Maybe a deeper character. I'd love to get the chance to play a more ominous villain in the superhero universe... I'm not done, it's just that my journey with Drax is over."
