Mad Max: Fury of the Gods first trailer and poster

Warner Bros. Movies' official blog announced that the prequel to Mad Max 4, Mad Max: Fury, will be released in North America on May 24, 2024. Today, the film company released the first trailer. Mad Max: Fury stars Anya Taylor-Joy from The Queen's Gambit and Chris Hemsworth from Thor, with George Miller returning to direct.

Anya Taylor-Joy plays a young Furiosa, the character played by Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road.

As civilization crumbles, young Furiosa is abducted from her homeland, the Mothers of the Green, into the hands of a gang of motorcyclists led by warlord Dementos. Traveling through the wasteland, they come to a castle ruled by Immortal Joe. As the two tyrants fight for dominance, Furiosa must survive the trials and tribulations of life and find her way home.
