$68.1 million! The Equalizer 3 opens with the highest global box office in the series

Starring Denzel Washington and directed by Antoine Fuqua, The Equalizer 3 was released in North America last Friday, earning $34.5 million in the first three days of the weekend and taking the top spot. The Labor Day holiday is expected to take in $42 million over the four days, second only to Shang-Chi's $94.6 million, making it the second best performing film of the period. The Equalizer 3 opened with $68.1 million worldwide, the highest performance in the series.

"Barbie" ranked second with $10.62 million in its seventh week, with a total of $609 million in North America and $1.38 billion worldwide, topping the annual championship ; "Blue Beetle" won third place with $7.27 million in its third week, and its global box office finally exceeded $100 million.

"The Equalizer 3"'s $34.5 million is second only to "The Equalizer"'s $36 million in the series, and ranks third among the opening films directed by Antoine Fuqua. In addition to being inferior to "The Equalizer", it is also slightly inferior to "The Magnificent Seven"'s $35 million.
