Jennifer Garner joins Deadpool 3 to play assassin Erica again

According to THR, Jennifer Garner will join "Deadpool 3" and play the female assassin Elektra again. Jennifer Garner played this role in the 2003 movie "Daredevil" and the 2005 movie "Elektra".

Jennifer Garner first played the female assassin in the 2005 film Elektra. Although both films were poor box office and critically acclaimed, Garner's performance was praised by critics.

Garner's return marks a reunion with Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy, with whom she previously collaborated on Netflix's The Adam Project.

"Deadpool 3" is currently in full swing of filming and is directed by Shawn Levy ("Full Player," "Stranger Things"). It will still be rated R and is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2024.

The film also stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin and Matthew MacFadyen as new actors. Returning actors include Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Leslie Gesse as Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Warhead, and Shiori Kutsuna as Yukio.
