Thor officially announced: "Extraction 3" is in production

The series' star "Thor" Chris Hemsworth and director Sam Hargrave officially announced that "Extraction 3" is in production, and Thor will once again play the male protagonist, black market mercenary Tyler Rake.

Extraction, which premiered on Netflix in 2020, stars Chris Hemsworth as a former SAS soldier on a deadly mission to rescue the kidnapped son of an Indian gangster. The film quickly became Netflix's best-performing debut, with more than 99 million views in its first four weeks.

In Extraction 2, Thor returns to play the role of Rake, this time to rescue his ex-wife's sister Ketevan and her child. The film will be released on Netflix on June 16, 2023.

Shortly after the first film was released, the writers and producers of "Extraction", the Russo brothers, revealed that they were planning an "Extraction" movie universe.
