Japanese agricultural machinery manufacturer Yanmar announced today (June 20) that it is producing an original anime project titled Miru. The animation will feature robots designed by the company’s designers and will be written by Studio Nue’s Shigeru Morita (Giant Insect Archipelago, Black Rabbit). Design company btrax will also assist with the project. Artist YKBX created the first visual for the project. The robot was designed mainly by the team of Yanmar's internal brand department design office. The animation is expected to be broadcast in 2024 with the theme of "Confrontation and Harmony between Man and Nature". It will tell the story of the heroine growing up through interaction with robots and changing the future with her friends. The animation will have a booth at the Anime Expo on July 1, where it will display robot statues from the animation, the anime's key visual, and the animation's concept film. The exhibition will also have a special discussion session, with the heads of Yanmar, btrax, and artist YKBX in attendance. Animation official website: click here |
