Today, April 26, in response to illegal publishing activities such as pirated anime audio-visual sites that are still rampant, copyright protection organizations in Japan and China jointly issued a memorandum of strengthened cooperation and submitted it to the relevant Beijing government agencies for record. In the future, they will continue to intensify the crackdown on pirated anime activities. As a world-recognized country producing a lot of animation, many well-known Japanese animations are illegally released and distributed in various countries, and China is no exception. In response to the appeal of Japanese copyright agencies, the Chinese government has spared no effort to help combat illegal piracy and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of intellectual property rights. The Japanese side of this joint memorandum is the Organization for the Promotion of Overseas Distribution of Creative Works (CODA), which is composed of Japanese TV stations, film companies and publishers, and the Chinese side is the Copyright Association of China. The memorandum states that countermeasures will be carried out based on copyright infringement information provided by both parties to promote the regular distribution of Japanese and Chinese creative works. As one of the achievements of the cooperation between China and Japan in combating piracy, in February this year, the Chinese police assisted CODA in shutting down one of the largest domestic animation piracy sites targeting Japanese people. |
