HBO's hit series The Last of Us Season 2 may premiere late next year

According to actress Bella Ramsey, we may not have to wait several years for the second season of HBO's hit series "The Last of Us", and we may be able to watch it as early as the end of next year or early 2025.

The actress, who plays Ellie in The Last of Us, told The Hollywood Reporter: "Season 2 will take a while. I think we will most likely start filming at the end of this year, and then it will be a long filming, maybe a year. So we may see it at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025."

The series "The Last of Us" was aired in January this year, with a total of 9 episodes. The series will end this month and will be released in physical discs in July this year, including 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD.

HBO officially announced the second season of The Last of Us just two and a half weeks after it aired. The first season of the show was an overwhelming success, and HBO's ratings in recent years were second only to House of the Dragon.

Last week, creators Neil and Craig Mazin seemed to confirm their intention to produce a third season, saying that the second season would not include the entire plot of The Last of Us Part II.

After the delay, Sony's PC game "The Last of Us: Remastered" will be launched on March 28.
