Blast Inc.'s Kickstarter campaign for the global release of the anime "Cat Shit One" on Blu-ray 3D HD, Blu-ray Disc and DVD has now ended, but it did not reach its funding goal of 10 million yen. This classic military + cute rabbit animation 3D short film is adapted from Kobayashi Genbum's manga "Vietnam War Rhapsody". The crowdfunding started as early as December 15 last year, with only one level of fundraiser tier, including a collection of three discs. The collection includes the following: · Blu-ray 3D HD disc with a new stereoscopic 3D version of the original 22-minute film compatible with PlayStation VR. · A Blu-ray 2D disc containing the 2D version of the film plus 75 minutes of extras. A DVD containing the same content as the Blu-ray version. Extras include audio commentaries with the director and crew, interviews, trailers, and behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the English dub. IDA Entertainment originally released the anime on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in Japan in 2010. The company released an English dub of the anime on YouTube in November 2010, and included the English dub in the Japanese DVD and Blu-ray releases in December of the same year. The Japanese voice actors for the anime are Tsuchida Yasushi and Hino Satoshi, and the English voice actors are Will Prescott and Tom Flynn. The animation director is Kazuya Sasahara. |
