The animated series "Bio Commando" directed by James Gunn has received great reviews, with a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 100% (now down to 93%) and a Metacritic score of 79. Entertainment media IGN gave it an 8-point rating.

Bio Commando introduces a new DCU in a story that only James Gunn could tell, blending high-energy animated action, absurdist humor, and deep, moving character development.

BioCommando gracefully completes the task of bridging the old DCEU and the new DCU while telling a standalone and solid story. James Gunn's signature "lovable weirdo" cast, great music, plenty of laughs and violence are presented in a new and refreshing way in the animated form. Although its intentional "childishness" doesn't always work, it's never enough to drag down the overall performance of the entire series.
