The official Twitter account of the TV animation adapted from the manga "Underground Ninja" written by Japanese manga artist Hanazawa Kengo recently released the first preview of the animation. No animation clips were released in the trailer, but it confirmed that the animation will be broadcast in 2023.

Animation trailer:

Hanazawa Kengo, who previously drew the zombie apocalypse manga "I Am a Hero", began serializing "Underground Ninja" in Kodansha's "Young Magazine" in July 2018. The manga's eighth volume was released on August 5, 2022, and the ninth volume will be released on January 6, 2023.

Plot introduction:

After World War II, Japan abolished the ninja organization, but there are still 200,000 ninjas hiding in every corner of modern Japanese society, performing various assassinations or secret missions. The ninjutsu used by these ninjas is not superpowers or magic, but technological products such as optical camouflage uniforms and electric batons.

The protagonist Kumogakure Kuro is a low-ranking ninja who, after a long period of unemployment, takes on the task of infiltrating Kodan High School. Before he officially infiltrates, a Russian who aspires to become a ninja comes to Japan, causing a commotion in the area.
