Netflix tweeted today (November 8) that it has acquired the film and television rights to the shooting masterpiece "Gears of War". On the 16th anniversary of the birth of "Gears of War", it will cooperate with The Coalition to create a live-action movie, and will also produce an adult animation series, and there may be more projects in the future. The cast and producer lineup of the "Gears of War" movie have not yet been determined. Hollywood has been trying to adapt War Machine for years. New Line acquired the copyright in 2007, but ultimately failed to develop it. In 2009, Len Wiseman was invited by producer Wyck Godfrey to write the script, but nothing happened. In 2016, Universal took over the operation, with Sean Salerno writing the screenplay, but nothing happened either. Gears of War is a third-person shooter that blends survival horror with tactical action and offers a deeply moving story that lets players experience humanity's desperate battle for survival against the Orcs, horrific creatures that have burrowed from the depths of Thera to the surface. In the game, players must lead war hero Marcos Phoenix and his crew as they face a fierce onslaught of brutal monsters. |
