Warner Bros. appoints James Gunn and Peter Safran to lead DC Films

According to foreign media IGN recently reported, Warner appointed director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran to lead the newly established DC Studios, replacing the previous DC Films, responsible for the operation of film, television and animation projects.

James Gunn focuses on the creative side, while Peter Safran is in charge of business and production. The two serve as co-CEOs and report directly to Warner CEO David Zaslav.

Previously, Warner wanted Chinese producer Dan Lin to serve as president of DC Films, but because Warner and Lin failed to reach an agreement, they had to end the negotiations.

It is worth mentioning that many DC projects belong to multiple universes, and "Joker 2" is not within this scope. The film is directed by Michael De Luca and Luca and Pamela Abdy. Matt Reeves' Batman derivative universe has not yet been determined.
