Ellie from The Last of Us: I've never played the game, I just watched it online

Recently, Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in the live-action series of The Last of Us, was interviewed by USA Today. She said that the producers of the series asked her not to play the game, but she couldn't help but watch some live broadcasts of the game on YouTube. But it seems that Ramsey has never played The Last of Us.

"I was actually encouraged not to play it," Ramsey said. "When I first auditioned, they asked me, 'Have you played The Last of Us?' and I said no, and they laughed and said 'Keep it up.' I actually watched some streamers play it live on YouTube, just to get a feel for it. I shot the show for a whole year, which is a long time. At the end of the shoot, Pedro wrote me a card saying, 'It's funny how something so big and life-changing can happen so early in your life and so late in mine.' I think I had the best time ever."

Even though Ramsay has never played The Last of Us, it doesn’t seem to matter. The first trailer for The Last of Us perfectly captures the tone and atmosphere of the game. It remains to be seen whether the series can live up to the hype, but so far, it looks like it’s worth the wait.

The live-action series "The Last of Us" is adapted from the game of the same name produced by Naughty Dog Studio, produced by HBO, and will be broadcast in 2023. Directed by Russian director Kantemir Balagov and starring Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, and Gabriel Luna, the series tells the story of survivors Joel and Ellie traveling across the United States in a harsh living environment full of killers.
