Marvel's "Blade" movie director quits, script undergoes several rounds of rewrites

According to foreign media reports, Bassam Tariq, the director of the Marvel Studios version of "Blade", temporarily announced his withdrawal from directing, but will continue to serve as executive producer. The film is currently in great trouble in preparation, and Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige is a little too busy.

Insiders revealed that the lead actor Mahershala Ali was very disappointed with the preparations for the film, as the script was only 90 pages long (90 minutes long) and only had two "mediocre" action scenes.

What’s important is that Kevin Feige, CEO of Marvel Studios and the “mastermind” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is currently a bit overwhelmed as he has to balance the planning of multiple American TV series and movies and is really too busy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script of the film has undergone several rounds of rewrites. It is worth mentioning that when the film was officially announced at SDCC in 2019, Kevin Feige revealed to the media at the time that it was actor Mahershala Ali who called Marvel to propose the concept of the project, and Marvel approved it if it was good. The whole process was simple and quick.

The film was originally scheduled to start shooting in November this year and was scheduled to be released in North America on November 3, 2023.
