Warner Bros. cancels DC Fan Online Exhibition in order to return to offline activities

According to Popverse, Warner Bros. Discovery recently canceled the online fan event DC Fandome. The online exhibition was first launched in August 2020 to replace offline events during the epidemic to celebrate and promote adapted content such as DC comics, movies, TV series and games.

Although some exhibition organizers have chosen to continue to hold purely online events and others have chosen to use a hybrid model, many exhibitions have chosen to return to offline events in 2022, including the recently held Cologne International Gamescom. DC seems to have chosen to abandon the online exhibition completely.

DC said in a statement: "With the return of live events, Warner Bros. Discovery is excited to be able to engage with our fans face-to-face at numerous comic-con conventions around the world and will not be organizing DC FanDome 2022."

So far this year, DC has attended San Diego Comic-Con and will attend New York Comic-Con in October.
