Louis Koo's "The Battle of Tomorrow" has a box office of over 400 million yuan, but it may be difficult to make back the investment

The mecha sci-fi movie "Tomorrow's Battle" is now in theaters, and the special effects of the movie are a visual feast. According to the Lighthouse Professional Edition, the box office of "Tomorrow's Battle" has exceeded 400 million yuan, and the cumulative number of viewers has reached 9.66 million. The industry believes that it is difficult to recover the investment based on the current box office trend. Because the box office is not ideal, there are rumors online that Louis Koo was depressed when he learned about the poor box office and couldn't help crying.

When asked about crying during an interview, Louis Koo first joked that it was because the air-conditioning in the cinema was not turned on. Later, he seriously explained that it was because of the death of his beloved wife in the movie that made him feel deeply moved. He hoped that everyone would support the movie, and denied that he cried because of the poor box office.

Louis Koo said earlier: "If you only look at whether a movie can make money, then many movies will not be made in the future. No matter what difficulties there are, science fiction films must be made. For the diversification of oriental science fiction, I am willing to make more contributions. Foreign movies like to show individual heroism, but in "Tomorrow's Battlegrounds", it is a small team. Even if it is a win, it is the team that wins, not the individual. Only by unity can we accomplish more things, which is also our persistence in making a play for so many years." His original intention for creating "Tomorrow's Battlegrounds" was that Chinese people could also make good science fiction films, and relying on foreigners would never make progress.

"The Battle of Tomorrow" is directed by Wu Xuanhui, with Louis Koo as the chief producer, Louis Koo, Lau Ching Wan, Carina Lau as the leading actors, Philip Keung, Tse Kwan Ho, Wu Qian, Wan Guopeng as the leading actors, Nick Cheung as the guest star, Liu Haoliang and Mai Tianshu as the screenwriters, and was released on August 5. The film tells the story of the future world where the earth's environment continues to deteriorate. The fall of the alien plant Pandora brings a shocking crisis. It ravages and invades the city crazily, and human life is in danger. In order to save the 5.6 million people in Zone B16, the headquarters sent a mecha team to complete the task of blowing up Pandora.
