Sonic the Hedgehog 3 director says he put a lot of care and love into telling Shat's story

As the third adapted film in the series, "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" will be released in the United States on December 20, 2024. Recently, director Jeff Fowler revealed in an interview with the foreign media "Entertainment" that he revealed care and love in order to shape Shat's story.

In response, Jeff Fowler said: "We certainly respect the fans' expectations and their love for the characters. We are also very clear about what is the right way to deal with this image in a family movie. I think we really have a great ending, and I also think that fans will go to watch the movie and really appreciate (the touching bond between) Shat and Maria. We invested a lot of care and love to tell Shat's story and present the best movie version imaginable to fans."

As an anti-hero in the "Sonic the Hedgehog" game series, Shadow was created by Professor Gerard to cure his granddaughter Maria's terminal illness. However, during his escape with Maria, he witnessed Maria being shot and launching Shadow's safety capsule, resulting in her own unfortunate death.

In the movie "Sonic the Hedgehog 3", it tells a new adventure story that after Sonic defeats Dr. Eggman, he learns that the "Shadow Project" has been launched, Shadow (voiced by Keanu Reeves) creates chaos and searches for Chaos Emeralds, and Sonic and others try to prevent the crisis.
