The Last of Us series to air in early 2023

Previously, Neil Drakeman announced that the series "The Last of Us" had been completed. Recently, HBO Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the series "The Last of Us" will be broadcast on HBO in early 2023.

This means that in 6 months we will be able to watch the story of Ellie and Joel. But Neil previously claimed that the "The Last of Us" series will deviate greatly from the game in some aspects. HBO is pushing away from hardcore action in the series and focusing more on the drama of the characters.

The series "The Last of Us" is adapted from the game of the same name, and is jointly directed by "Chernobyl" producer Craig Mazan, "Game of Thrones" producer Caroline Strauss and "The Last of Us 2" director Neil. Pedro Pascal plays Joel, Bella Ramsey plays Ellie, Nicole Parker plays Joel's daughter Sarah, and Gabriel Luna plays Joel's brother Tommy.

The series "The Last of Us" tells the story of Joel having to safely transport Ellie across the zombie-infested United States. It will cover the content of "The Last of Us 1" and may also include the content of "The Last of Us 2". The first season has a total of 10 episodes, each lasting about 1 hour.
