Stranger Things Season 4 final two episodes surpass 117 million hours of viewing

Driven by the final two episodes of Season 4, Stranger Things Season 4 remained at the top of Netflix’s weekly top 10 with 188.2 million hours watched in the week leading up to July 4. About 117 million hours were spent on the finale of Volume 2, which combined with the premiere weekend of Volume 2 and the 930 million hours watched of Volume 1 in its first 28 days of release, brings the total hours watched for Season 4 to 1.27 billion.

Last week's Stranger Things became Netflix's second series to pass the 1 billion mark, joining Octopussy Games, which had 1.6 billion hours of viewing in its first 28 days.

Like last week, Stranger Things and The Umbrella Academy dominated Netflix’s weekly top 10 English-language dramas, with four episodes of Stranger Things occupying seven of the top eight spots (1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th), and the three seasons of The Umbrella Academy occupying third, seventh and eighth spots, respectively.
